Monique BaileyDietician
I have a passion for being healthy and achieving this through nutrition. I studied at Potchefstroom University and have been practicing my passion for the last 15 years. My special interest are: Functional Nutrition (achieving health and harmony through eating wholesome and healthy), Weight Management, Hormonal Health (Endometriosis, Pcos, Peri-menopause, Menopause, Osteopenia and Osteoporosis), Adrenal Health, Diabetes mellitus (CDE accredited practitioner), cardiovascular disease, thyroid health, auto immune diseases (Rheumatoid arthritis, Osteo Arthritis, Lupus and Fibromyalgia), gastro intestinal disorders and reaching gastro intestinal harmony, as well as all inflammatory conditions including joint- and muscle health. I also have an esteemed interest in babies and children and work a lot with kidney related conditions, allergies, fussy eaters, constipation, concentration related disorders and introduction of solids.

I have the privilege of raising four wonderful children. Nutrition has provided me with so much knowledge to live and be more healthy as well as to always stay on top on new trends and changes in my field. As dietician I am also very involved in genetic testing to empower my patient with knowledge as genetics can help a person to regulate their health much more directly based on a person’s individual outcome.

Currently I am busy with an 2 year post graduate diploma through the International Functional Nutrition Academy, my furthering of studies is an wonderful tool to always provide patient with the best up to date knowledge.

I am a firm believer that being healthy empowers people and that this can be absolutely achievable.

Anel De Wet
Anel De WetDietician
I completed my Bsc. Dietetics degree in 2014 at the North West University, Potchefstroom Campus. One of my career passions include working with people and more specifically, to aid, assist and to educate them on how to live a healthy lifestyle as well as on how to implement daily healthy eating habits.

I am of the firm belief that eating healthy is not just a goal, but rather a way of living and it is this attitude and believe I try to instil in my patience during each and every consultation.

Post my university qualification, I have been exposed to and have gained experience in adult as well as paediatric medical nutrition, and in addition thereto, to working in hospitals ranging from the Renal unit to High Care. As a dietician I also have a special interest in the subject of DNA testing, a relatively new field which has the aim of assisting individual patients to understand how their bodies function from a nutritional point of view.

The greatest pleasure I get from my work is, however, to advise and help people with weight loss in general, to advise them on Diabetes Mellitus type 2 and type 1 (includes carb counting), gestational diabetes, diverticulosis, high cholesterol, cardiovascular diseases and hypertension as well as to compile diets for pregnant and lactating
women. I am also involved in working at the Step down as it gives me great pleasure to work and assist with the elderly.

I have a soft spot for children– general consultation includes advising on healthy eating habits and educating children on the different levels of healthy eating and also on why it is so important to eat healthy from a young
age.

I am soon to be a new mother and plans are to have a big family.

Food has always been an interest. To motivate, educate and hopefully inspire people to lead healthier lives, is both an honour and a duty.

Dietetics is not about rules, it’s about choosing to honour your body. It’s about enjoying food responsibly and experiencing the benefits of healthy choices. And because every person is different, using DNA testing, individualising nutrition recommendations can now be taken to a new level.

I may have completed my B.Sc Dietetics degree in 2014 from the University of the North West Potchefstroom campus, but the learning hasn’t stopped and it hopefully never will. I love staying up to date with the latest research and dietary approaches to health.
